Leadership Breakfast: How Economically Attractive is Chicago, Really?

Ticket price:
$25.00
Thursday, October 19, 2017
7:15 - 9:30 a.m.

Registration for this Fellows-only event has closed.

Join us for an unplugged conversation with Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and Chicago Deputy Mayor Bob Rivkin (Fellow since 1994), moderated by Civic Consulting Alliance CEO Brian Fabes (Fellow since 2001), about Chicago as a growing tech region and other factors impacting Chicago’s economic appeal. What could this mean for the Amazon Headquarters bid? What are the hard choices needed to improve our financial outlook in the coming years?

This event is the first in our 2018 Fellows Program Leadership Breakfast Series, which is open to all Fellows this year. The goal of this monthly series is to offer an opportunity to engage with cross-sector leaders who have a unique perspective on current issues and the expertise to provide an inside look. This month, for example, both speakers are leaders who have transitioned between the private and public sectors to improve and transform our community locally and nationally. Mr. Rivkin and Ms. Pritzker served together in former President Barack Obama's administration, Rivkin as the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
