Leadership Greater Chicago Elects New Board Member Damion Heron

CHICAGO (May 3, 2024) – Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC), the region's premier civic leadership development organization, recently welcomed Damion Heron, Midwest Regional Executive, Corporate Responsibility at JP Morgan Chase & Co., to its Board of Directors. As an LGC Fellow since 2018, Heron will support LGC's mission to develop a strong channel of civic leaders who will shape the future of Chicago and the region.

“We are honored to have Damion join the LGC Board of Directors. He brings extensive experience and diversity of skills to the stewardship of advancing our mission and our impact in the region,” said Myetie Hamilton, LGC Chief Executive Officer and LGC Fellow since 2016. “He is an active civic leader committed to making Chicago a better place to live for all.”

At JPMorgan Chase, Heron is a Corporate Responsibility executive, leading the firm’s public engagement strategies across an eleven-state region. He currently leads a team of philanthropists and community and economic development professionals dedicated to investing resources, building partnerships, and advising Chase on how to create products and services that best serve all its customers and communities. Over the past 16 years, he has held leadership positions in philanthropy, community engagement and development, and public affairs.

Prior to his role at Chase, Heron served in similar roles in the private and public sector with The Boeing Company, Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications, and Britain’s House of Commons. Heron has served on boards and steering committees of several prominent organizations including the Civic Federation of Chicago, Neighborhood Housing Services, Forefront, Asset Funders Network, and Social Responsibility Chicago.

Heron holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and philosophy from Bradley University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Chicago.
