
The Daniel Burnham Fellowship®
Overview
Launched in February 2019, The Daniel Burnham Fellowship® is an accelerated civic onboarding experience designed for senior executives who have the ability to shape the future of Chicago. This exclusive, six-session program integrates participants into the civic fabric of the city – understanding its history and future trajectory – and builds relationships and networks across the Greater Chicago region to quickly activate civic engagement and peer networking. This program is particularly beneficial for executive leaders who are new to Chicago, recently promoted, or in market-facing roles. The Daniel Burnham Fellowship inspires leaders to activate their influence, immerse themselves in Chicago’s civic landscape, and positively impact the region.
Ideal candidates include:
- CEOs, C-suite executives, or senior leaders
- Executives responsible for strategic financial investments
- Decision-makers in workforce and workforce development
- Leaders seeking to navigate Chicago’s civic and business networks
- Executives focused on building collaborations or strategic partnerships
- Executives who are new to their role
- Recently relocated leaders (suburban, U.S., or international) or newly assigned executives looking to understand the city and its civic landscape

Time Commitment
