The Daniel Burnham Fellowship®

Overview

Launched in February 2019, The Daniel Burnham Fellowship® is an accelerated civic onboarding experience designed for senior executives who have the ability to shape the future of Chicago. This exclusive, six-session program integrates participants into the civic fabric of the city – understanding its history and future trajectory – and builds relationships and networks across the Greater Chicago region to activate civic engagement and to urgently address our region’s most pressing issues. This program is particularly beneficial for executive leaders who are new to Chicago, recently promoted, or in market-facing roles. The Daniel Burnham Fellowship inspires leaders to activate their influence, immerse themselves in Chicago’s civic landscape, and positively impact the region.

The ideal candidate profile is:

  • CEO, C-suite or Senior Executive
  • Executive who is directly responsible for making strategic financial investments
  • Executive who has authority to make decisions as they relate to workforce and workforce development
  • Executive who would benefit from understanding the civic and business networks and socioeconomic aspects of doing business in the region
  • Executive who has responsibility for building relationships for collaborations or strategic partnerships
  • Recently relocated leader (suburban, U.S., or international) or newly assigned executive looking to understand the city and its civic landscape

Participation in The Daniel Burnham Fellowship is by invitation only.
