LGC Calls for Cross-Sector Changemakers to Apply to the LGC Signature Fellows Program Class of 2027

In this time where we are faced with unprecedented socioeconomic challenges, Leadership Greater Chicago’s mission — to cultivate courageous and connected cross-sector civic leaders who are committed to leading transformative change that will have an enduring impact on the future of communities throughout the Greater Chicago region — has never been more vital. Our future depends on civic leaders who will collaborate across lines of difference to address pressing socioeconomic issues and build a more just, resilient and thriving city and region.

With this mission in mind, we are pleased to announce that the LGC Signature Fellows Program application for the Class of 2027 is now open.

All qualified candidates and their sponsors, both new and returning, are invited to our first virtual information session on Tuesday, December 9 at 12pm. Attendees will gain insights into the LGC experience and its benefits, get tips on the application process and hear directly from Fellows about the impact LGC has had in shaping their careers and commitment to civic engagement.

As in past years, we are asking our Fellows, friends and sponsors to help spread the word about LGC and our Signature Fellows Program. The links to the application and program information below can be shared with prospective candidates.

Since Leadership Greater Chicago’s founding in 1983, more than 1,400 of Chicago’s exemplary leaders have participated in our Signature Fellows Program. We look forward to another year of promising, accomplished candidates and selecting the 2027 Class of Signature Fellows to join our network of connected civic leaders propelling Chicago forward.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Candidates are required to complete an online application, which includes two letters of recommendation. For candidates who have a disability, please email our team to request accommodation(s) to ensure full participation in the process.

The deadline for completed applications and recommendation letters is Monday, March 2, 2026.
