Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) is proud to be a sponsor of the South Shore Night event at the annual Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) on Wednesday, November 7. Join us for an evening of engaging and interactive conversations on the intersection of visual arts and social change, as we explore three "activated rooms" in the South Shore Cultural Center: South Side Home Movie Project, The Folded Map Project, and Signs for Community. For the schedule and program descriptions, click here.
The experts involved in the programming include founder of the South Side Home Movie Project and Chicago Cinema and Media Studies professor Jacqueline Stewart, visual artist and photographer Tonika Johnson, architectural and urban designer Paola Aguirrea, education activist and founder of My Block, My Hood, My City Jahmal Cole, historian and author Amanda Seligman, and co-founder of hyper local news outlet Block Club Chicago Jen Sabella. LGC Chief Executive Officer Maria Wynne will introduce the Signs for Community panel program at 7:30 p.m.
