This is a FELLOWS ONLY event.

The LGC Book Club Leadership Action Network (LAN) is hosting a virtual book discussion of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson on Wednesday, May 26, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. CT. A book steeped in empathy and insight, Caste explores, through layered analysis and stories of real people, the structure of an unspoken system of human ranking and reveals how our lives are still restricted by what divided us centuries ago.

The event will include an opening conversation between Angelique Power (LGC Fellow since 2015), President of Field Foundation, and Mark Ishaug (Daniel Burnham Fellow), CEO of Thresholds, followed by small group discussions of the book and racial inequalities in our communities. The breakouts will be facilitated by LGC Fellows.
