Topic:

Development Without Displacement: How Can Chicago Grow Inclusively?

Co-hosted by:

LFA Board Members Rafael Leon (Fellow since 1999) and Ianna Kachoris (Fellow since 2016)

Description: In communities across the city, from Logan Square to Pilsen to Woodlawn, communities are experiencing rising rents and home prices, and interest from developers not seen before. Fear of displacement particularly among communities of color is intensifying. Join us for a discussion about how public and private actors, individuals, and groups can support housing and community efforts to ensure equitable approaches to development so that all can benefit.

The Fellows Dine & Dialogue series is back! This intentional dining experience is designed to convene and connect Fellows across classes and sectors. We are excited to continue our well-received program with SIX dinners this winter — our largest series yet.

These intimate dinners are hosted by Fellows in their homes or other private venues across the city and suburbs. Each dinner consists of a group of 8-12 Fellows engaged in a conversation around a specific issue.

Seats for each dinner are limited and reserved on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be created for each dinner in the event of cancellations. To allow as many Fellows as possible to participate, we ask that you register for one dinner per series. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after registering, which will include the address of your dinner venue.

Questions? Contact Brittney Olgaard at brittney.olgaard@lgcchicago.org.

We look forward to convening with you!
